I have androgenic alopecia and I received my first PRP treatment from Dr. Patenaude approximately 2 years ago. As a twenty-one-year old woman I was extremely self-conscious about my thin hair, to the point where I felt the need to wear wigs to cover up the fact that you could see almost the entirety of my scalp through my nearly-non-existent hair. I was very nervous going in for my first appointment as I was not sure what to expect and had never had this type of procedure before but the staff at the East St Paul Medical Centre as well as Dr. Patenaude are very friendly and welcoming and helped me feel at ease. I received 6 PRP treatments over a period of 6 months. As Dr. Patenaude had advised me, I did not see any immediate results however, a year and a half after my final treatment I can conclusively say that this treatment worked for me. Both Dr. Patenaude and I have noticed significant results, to the point where I now no longer feel the need to wear a wig. I would recommend this treatment to anyone with androgenic alopecia as is has made such a positive impact on my life and has drastically improved my confidence!
